Monthly Budget Template - Part 3
Table of Contents
1. Overview
Today's post is on the monthly budget template I've created so far using just org and not haskell. This template is for my family and I, and I recognize that everyone is going to be different, feel free to hack away at this and use for yourself, the org file is available at https://rbrins.github.io/budget-template.org. And if you share just maintain the sharing licenses :)
- You may need to add rows, do this with
M-Shift-DOWN
, to add a row above the current row. - Then modify the
#+TBLFM:
line to include the new line or update the range of a vsum. Once you do this a fewC-c
's on the line should update everything.
2. Summary
2.1. Goals
- Write your goals for this month (or period of time) with specific goals in mind
- Do something for yourself, even if it is a cheap as a chocolate bar, or making sure your gym membership is paid
2.2. Financial Summary
This should display the budgeting amount, actual amount, totals, and difference for a quick glance of status. Additionally, through magic or programming, I'd love for the ammounts to be automatically calculated by the categories below.

A nice to have later, would be to be to calculate new balance and minimum payment.
